The Mask 2016

I looked at this project as a way of exploring the identity and structure. I aimed to look at how fragile thoughts around the way you look can be on yourself by creating a mould of a face which I would then try to destroy through different ways while photographing the process. I wanted to incorporate a hand to make it feel less like a work of structure or a mould and try to create an image that was almost creepy and made people feel uncomfortable. The structure of the face was made by creating a mould of the face which took over 2 hours of the model breathing from two straws.  The images where taken on a Nikon D5600 and printed A3 as part of my portfolio in 2016.
